UL Aim To Shock Rampant UJ
One team will be playing for honour and the other for a home semi-final when top team UJ host Varsity Football strugglers UL on Monday night.
UJ top the standings and have already booked their place in the last four, while UL have no chance of progressing after a disappointing season.
The home team’s coach, Bradley Carnell, has made it clear that the main aim for his side is to bag a victory.
Coach, Burney Mampshika, remains upbeat about UL’s ability and insists his players will be ready to surprise their hosts in Johannesburg.
Carnell has chosen not to rotate his squad against UL and will send out the same players who drew 1-1 to NWU last week.
Lumkile Davi and Tebogo Mandyu had injury concerns after the physical clash against NWU, but Carnell says both players are ready to play.
The former Bafana Bafana star says UJ will be wary of UL’s tactics, after claiming it’s the best he’s seen this season.
Limpopo will be boosted by five players who missed out last week due to academic commitments.
Kgotlelelo Kgoete, Samuel Mathabathe, Thabiso Mamaila, Themba Chauke and Harold Ndhlovu are all back and raring to go for UL.
Ivan Tleane also makes the squad after the defender picked up a knock against NMMU-Madibaz last week.
