The future is so bright, you know! Without further delay, here's Wits' Head of the Youth Academy, Glen Salmon. Speaking to the club's official website, he talks us through some of our budding young Amajimbos stars...
Sanele Tshabalala:
GS: “This youngster is a goalkeeper who showed great composure in between the poles and conceded very few goals in the tournament. He was named goalkeeper of the tournament.”
Itumeleng Shoba:
GS: “Shoba is a strong defender who is smart and reads the game extremely well.”
Reeve Frosler:
GS: “This midfielder is very strong, athletic and has a great winning mentality.”
Nicholas Ladeira:
GS: “Ladeira is a midfielder who is very intelligent and shows great composure. His distribution of the ball is very good.”
Liam Jordan:
GS: “He is more of an attacking midfielder who has many brilliant attributes. He is also very composed on the ball and is an excellent playmaker. He was voted as player of the tournament.”
Shungu Dutiro:
GS: “This is a striker who is very athletic and his lively play makes it very difficult for defenders. He was the top scorer of the tournament.”
Luvuyo Mkatshana:
“Mkatshana is striker who is very strong, athletic and is a handful for most players.”
