As a 'Brasse Vannie Kaap' (AJax Cape Town) fan myself, I thought it was 'duidelik' that Thulani Hlatshwayo is giving the in-form Tefu Mashamaite a real run for his money.
We got some skills down in the Mother City.
Mashamaite plays for a team that are number one in the PSL. He is a regular in the backline of a side that is involved in continental African competition as well. Virtually every week he faces teams who treat the occasion as a cup final.
In other words, the pressure he's under is immense and yet he still delivers to a very high level. Factor in that Tefu is up against high calibre performers like Morgan Gould and Eric Mathoho, and it's easy to see why it's so impressive that Tyson is right up there with him.
Tyson is a top quality player. It makes no difference that he plays for a smaller team away from the glare of the big spotlight. The cream always rises to the top like Thulani Serero.
So, Ajax fans, let's keep Thulani in the running. It's because his pedigree is obvious - Hlatshwayo v Mashamaite - who'll win?
