Pitso Praises 'Long Weekend'

We have finally registered our first win in the 2014/15 Absa Premiership after overcoming a highly motivated Moroka Swallows outfit last night with a 2-0 away win.

It was particularly refreshing to see the new boys Mame ‘Long Weekend’ Niang and Kuda Mahachi getting on the scoresheet.

Coach Pitso Mosimane believed that once the dust settled, everything fell accordingly.

"The life of a coach is pressure, we are trained, we go to courses to take the pressure [off us] but I'm happy for the boys. They managed to play, they put the ball down and let's be honest, it was one way traffic,” Mosimane said after the game.

The Dube Birds only had three shots at goals and of these shots, two were off target, while we had 11 shots at goals and five of them were on target, resulting in their two goals.

Swallows were dominated by us in ball possession even though they were the home team, so the Birds did deserve to lose against Sundowns.

Can we now get a groove of wins and rack up the points?
