Twenty Three-year History To Be Renewed

Our long and eventful rivalry with Free State Stars will be renewed on Wednesday evening when our beloved SuperSport United head over to the Charles Mopeli Stadium.

It is unbelievable to think that our rich history against the Ea Lla Koto stretches as far back as 1991, where we have taken them on 36 times. In the league alone, I might add.

Our Matsatsantsa have 13 wins compared to eight for Free State Stars, while 15 matches have seen us play out to a stalemate.

Stars have won five of their 18 home matches against us, suffering five defeats in the process, leaving me particularly positive for this clash.

Last season we did a double over Ea Lla Koto, winning 4-1 in Tshwane and 2-1 in the Free State, and I am sure we can do the same again.

Rise Matsatsantsa, rise!
