Jimmy Jambo could be on the path to recovery after a long spell on the sidelines.
He is slowly making his way into the starting 11 after returning to the bench in a few games recently. After showing signs of a revival, should he stay or should he move elsewhere for the sake of his career?
Another question mark is that of Stuart Baxter risking him in the run-in period of the campaign. We know that Stuart Baxter is an ardent tactician and does well when rotating players. Will Jambo be part of those strategies and will help his recuperation?
On the one hand, yes, as he needs game time. On the other hand no, he might be at risk of sustaining more severe injuries.
What other factors suggest that he might not be in the immediate plans of Stuart Baxter? Well simply put, Simphiwe Mtsweni, who is much younger than Jambo, has been selected ahead of him on a few occasions. To add insult to ‘injury’, Tsepo Masielela is the first choice left back for Chiefs.
So is it time Jambo moves on or should he rather stick it out at Chiefs?
