The Arrival of the no-compromising, tough tackling Senegalese midfield hard-man Issa Sarr could spell worrying times for fellow defensive midfielder Thandani ‘Bibo’ Ntshumayelo.
Undoubtedly Sarr has been the brightest Star at the North West-based club this past season and it’s no wonder the Buccaneers came calling for the 27-year-old’s signature, but it is for that fact they chased the Senegalese that will have Bibo questioning his own performances.
So what does Sarr have that Bibo doesn’t?
First and foremost is presence! You see, whilst Bibo only stands at 168 cm weighing 63kg, Sarr clocks in at a 180cm and weighs a beefier 75kg. This means he can use his presence to dominate in the midfield, something Ntshumayelo cannot do. Furthermore Sarr has proven he has attacking qualities both from open play and from set pieces, something Bibo hasn’t really developed fully in his game.
So Should Ntshumayelo be worried? ...It seems like the answer is a definite yes!
