Richard Henyekane is 30 but he is not that old by South African standards. That means he can still play a big role for Bafana Bafana.
Henyekane is one of the players that is doing well in the PSL in the second round of the season, thanks to his loan move to Free State Stars in January.
The Kimberly-born player is on the books for Mamelodi Sundowns, but he struggled for game time during his time at Chloorkop.
It would be advisable for the player to stay at Stars if the team stays in the PSL, or move to another PSL side at the end of the season if they fail to.
South Africa is moaning about a lack of goals while we fail to recognise the talent of players like Henyekane. Henyekane is not bench material.
He would not have finished the 2009/10 season as the league’s top goal scorer with 19 goals if he was. Henyekane has scored six league goals already in the second half of the season and is the top goal scorer at Ea Lla Koto.
Henyekane will be committing career suicide by returning to Sundowns.
