Oupa Manyisa and Thabo Matlaba are on SAFA’s target hit list after the two failed to pitch up for their medical exams to determine whether they can be part of Gordon Igesund’s squad that travelled to Australasia.
Unfortunately for the Bucs players, they took the law into their hands by failing to report to both the club doctors as well as the SAFA medical experts.
Word coming out of Pirates is that the player will be given their opportunity to explain their actions.
Every action has a reaction. and as the country knows. SAFA has sacked Gordon Igesund following futile draws against both Australia and New Zealand. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not implying the absence of Manyisa and Matlaba has anything to do with the dismissal of Igesund, but what I am saying is that if as a coach you don’t have several of your first team players, especially one of the best midfielders and one of the best left backs in the country, it has the potential for negative repercussions.
How do you think Pirates will deal with the duo?
