One thing I find very disturbing as an Orlando Pirates supporter is the rough sailing our team is experiencing well before the start of the new season.
The 2014/15 Premiership hasn’t even begun and already the Bucs ship has encountered rough seas.
For starters, there is the whole Siyabonga Sangweni debacle that is annoyingly dragging on for an eternity. One minute Ntsimbi is leaving, next thing he is staying. We, the Ghost, are left confused as to whether to make peace with the fact that he’s leaving or be hopeful that he’s remaining.
Then there is the Oupa Manyisa saga, which is drawing howling winds and choppy seas to the good ol’ Jolly Roger.
The prospect of losing one of the best midfielders in the league is daunting. As much as we can be assured that Ace is likely to remain a Buccaneer, we can never know for sure and that just causes more seasickness. Even my man Thabo Matlaba could be thrown overboard.
And to top it all off, there's no telling if our captain, the man meant to steady the ship, Lucky Legwathi, will be around either.
Bucs need to get their act together, elsewise they could capsize before the season even starts.
