Bucs Fortress

How we bemoaned when we learnt Andile Jali would be leaving for KV Oostende FC. It would become the end of the best midfield pairing in the PSL, or would it be?

Enter a Senegalese defensive midfielder, Issa Sarr, and there is a ray of hope that Orlando Pirates could rekindle a new defensive midfield pairing that would be just as strong and formidable.

Yes, the new season is looking brighter for us, the Orlando Pirates supporters.

Sarr has slotted perfectly in the space vacated by Jali and, yes, though he may not be as dynamic in attack as Jali was, he doesn’t have to be with Thandani Ntshumayelo playing alongside and leaving Oupa “Ace” Manyisa to do ALL the creative dynamism we need.

With Ntshumayelo and Sarr in the middle of the park, we have our very own Fort Knox.
