"He doesn't bend them really like David Beckham but Khune. He is more like Ronaldo. I don't know why he doesn't take them in a game. I give him 10 out 10." This was Tefu Mashamaite's amazing assessment of Itumeleng Khune's set-piece ability in edition 865.
"At the training it is Khune. That's one part of his game that has not been revealed yet. He takes the best ever free kicks!" This was Siyabonga Nkosi had to say about 'Itu's' ability to hit a dead ball.
It begs the question then, shouldn't 'Itu' be given the chance to at least try his hand with a few strikes on goal. Yes, it's not common but for this Amakhosi supporter - why not give him a chance?
He won't be the first keeper to have an unbelievable ability to score from set-pieces. Brazilian keeper Rogerio Ceni has scored over 100 career goals for Sao Paulo in Brazil. Paraguay number one, Jose Luis Chilavert, knocked in close to 60 goals in his long career as well.
Why not the same for Itu? It's certainly worth an experiment isn't it. Goals are like gold in the PSL after all!
