Surprise Moriri has come out and shouldered the blame for their Nedbank quarter final 2-1 defeat at the hands of Orlando Pirates . A commendable move by the experienced midfielder, but perhaps not the smartest one.
Could it be that Moriri felt compelled to do this after the comments made by his coach, Pitso Mosimane, stated that Moriri missed too many gilt-edged opportunities to seal the fixture for the Tshwane outfit? Mosimane went on to say he felt sorry for Moriri.
Football is a team sport and goal scoring has never been the responsibility of a single player. If Moriri was guilty of missing crucial chances, than other players should have stepped up and taken the responsibility to score for their team!
Is It fair for Moriri to take the blame alone?
