Yeye’s Tank

The recent good form showed by midfielder George Maluleka has come at the right time as he has been roped in by Kaizer Chiefs to be the long-term successor to Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane.

Yeye who has been one of my more favoured Chiefs players, is nearing the twilight of his career and at 32-years-old won’t provide the same dynamism he did in previous seasons.

Against Platinum Stars the often-accurate Yeye had difficulty measuring his passes and kept having the ball stolen away from him.

A true servant of Chiefs, Letsholonyane will become more of an experienced player who will help Amakhosi coming from the bench rather than from the starting line-up as George grows into his new role in the Chiefs midfield.

Do you agree with these sentiments?
