Lyle Lakay recently extended his stay with Bloemfontein Celtic. At 22, he is one of Celtics’ most consistent players.
He recently had a trial with Mamelodi Sundowns, but chose to come back to Celtic and put his focus on the team. Who could forget his first goal for Celtic against Free State Stars in the ABSA premiership where he belted the ball in from almost 40 yards out.
It was in that game where everyone saw the potential he had. Some even said he is like a younger Daine Klate. So then, with him extending his deal at Celtic, could he then settle and become one of the best wingers in the league?
It speaks for itself when a team like Sundowns were showing interest in him. So now we are left with the question, will Lakay improve even more and become a household name in South African football?
