We Are At An Advantage Tomorrow

Many people will be thinking that Real Madrid will be up against the wall when we take on Atletico Madrid in the return leg of the Spanish Super Cup, but according to the statistics, this is not the case.

Madrid actually have a better record against Atletico when playing at the Calderon, which is just a few kilometres away from the Bernabeau, than we do when playing at home. The Calderon has been a real 'home away from home' for our club.

Just last season, we lost to Atletico in the Bernabeau, but managed to salvage a 2-2 draw at their stadium.

In fact, it has been some 15 years since Real Madrid have suffered a defeat of any kind in the Vicente Calderon. So, given that this fixture will be balanced on a knife’s edge, I feel confident that we can claim the Spanish Supercup tomorrow night.
