In Soccer Laduma edition 875, Knowledge Musona said that Bernard Parker's 10 goals should have inspired other strikers to score more.
"He is good, but it should have been a challenge to the other guys who were behind him, trying to be the top goalscorer, to improve their game. It is for poor for strikers not to overtake someone who didn't score for two months," Knowledge said.
His solution to the problem? Strikers must work harder and maintain confidence, he said, and I couldn't agree more.
Die Hond was able to lead the pack without scoring for so long because none of the other established strikers in the league seemed inspired to beat him!
This leaves a question to be asked of Chiefs for next season: with Musona intent on returning to Europe and Parker dealing with injuries, who will be inspired to put the ball in the back of the net for Chiefs?
