Often a victim of the Kaizer Chiefs boo-boys, signs are there in 2014/15 that Kingston Nkhatha is doing all he can to silence those in the stands that get on his case for missing chances.
In 2013/14, the Zimbabwean was abused left, right and centre for his tendency to miss clear-cut chances. In fact, some argued that he cost us the title because of his lack of accuracy in front of goal.
However, there is evidence that the 28-year-old is working hard on the Naturena training ground to improve his finishing.
Last season he hit the target a miserly 36.84% of the time. So far in the new campaign, the Zvimba-ace is averaging an excellent 54.55% accuracy rating. These are figures I looked up from Soccer Laduma’s Prozone stats – they reflect our big number eight’s improvement up front.
So, boo-boys please take note – let’s get behind our striker they call ‘King’. This booing of our own is just too much now and makes me sick, especially now that he is performing. His latest top performances are more than enough evidence that he is shooting you down!
Have your say - Do you agree Nkhatha deserves more love from the Chiefs faithful?
