Baxter: Musona Gives An Extra Dimension

Recently Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, revealed how Knowledge Musona’s potential return to Naturena can give our club an extra dimension in attack.

He said: “He'll give us a few more options, an extra dimension (in attack)...”

While Soccer Laduma reported in edition 885 that Belgium Pro League side, Oostende, have joined the race to sign Musona, it seems increasingly likely the Zimbabwean international will return to Chiefs.

His stats from last season were outstanding – he scored 16 goals in all competitions and was one of the most creative forwards in the PSL as well. He was second in the league when it comes to receiving passes. The Norton-born ace got on the ball 35.42 times per match in 2013/14.

To put that stat in perspective, other top Absa Premiership forwards like Edward Manqele and Mame Niang averaged under 23 balls received in the same category.

As Baxter said, this indicates the added dimension that Musona gives our beloved Amakhosi in attack. He’s massively influential in getting on the ball and dictating our attacks. And, he can score plenty of goals as well!

Do you agree that Musona will give us an extra dimension in attack? Or, do we have enough now that Mandla Masango and George Maluleka are in such fine form?
