George Maluleka was a marvel in Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 win over Platinum Stars. But, it could have been all so different until his second half brace stole our hearts against Dinaledi.
He has arguably been earmarked to fill Bernard Parker's number 10 role in 'Hond's' absence - this means he has to get into scoring positions and be extremely creative.
A flurry of missed chances has had some Chiefs fans on his back. However, Maluleka's expert second half double against Stars really had people on their feet in the stands.
Despite his difficult start in front of goal in 2014/15, the versatile attacking midfielder has never lost his focus. He revealed in Soccer Laduma's edition 884 how determined he was to make a success of the number 10 role at Naturena.
He said, "Whenever playing in an offensive position, I need to ensure I get into the last third more and create those goal-scoring chances for the team, and even get some goals myself. That will be a great factor in my game and is something that I'm working on."
Have your say - how impressed have you been by Maluleka's advanced attacking midfielder role?
