As Mamelodi Sundowns prepare to tackle Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium tonight, here's hoping that the club's supporters will be on their best behaviour.
What we witnessed last week, when a certain section of the Brazilians' fans hurled insults at Pitso Mosimane, demanded that he resign after the 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United, was a shameful act and something we do not want to see in South African football.
Let us remember that as much as we go into every game seeking a win, this is the beautiful game and we do not need to tarnish the name of the team through such actions.
Thankfully the club has sent out a strong message to those who are hell-bent on destroying the morale in camp and who go to watch games with their agendas. Let's hope the crowd in Cape Town gets behind the team so that we can overcome the Urban Warriors in their own backyard.
How should reckless fan behaviour at the stadiums be dealt with?
