There has been speculation that our tricky midfielder, Sameehg Doutie, could be on his way out of our club with rumours of him heading to Bidvest Wits.
Taking a look at how his seasons have faired, I see there has been a decline in game time, and I am inclined to agree that maybe our SuperSport United should part ways with him.
When he arrived at the start of the 2011/12 season, Doutie’s game time was limited to just six matches as he settled into the set-up.
The following year, he slotted in like a hand in a glove, and turned out for us on 20 occasions, scoring three goals in the process.
Then, last year he featured for us only 18 times and scored a one goal less from the previous campaign. His dip in form and failure to convince Cavin Johnson completely resorted in him playing 300 minutes less between the two seasons.
Now, we are three games into our season, and he has only turned out for a total of 33 minutes. I am not sure he convinces Johnson, and if he is not getting regular game time he might as well leave.
