When our Premier League season began this weekend, I was expecting fireworks, and true to form, Arsenal disappointed me.
We may have run out 2-1 winners thanks to a Laurent Koscielny goal in first-half extra time and an Aaron Ramsey winner in second-half injury time, but really, it was all-in-all an unimpressive game.
We may have walked out winners and grabbed all three points, but Crystal Palace are not a top quality team. They just lost their manager, Tony Pulis, and will likely be flirting with relegation all season.
When it comes down to it, they are not even close to the kind of challenge we will be expecting from the likes of Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City. For goodness sake, even Tottenham are a superior team.
Our passing was horrendous, we lacked a final product in the attacking third, and, at the end of the day, there is a lot of work to be done.
