This week news surfaced that Thanduyise Khuboni wants to leave Golden Arrows, something that raised a lot of eyebrows.
Granted, ‘Gonondo’, as he is affectionately known, has been a loyal servant of the club for many years. He has tried to push for a move before, but it just didn’t happen. The timing of his comments, that he wants to seek a new challenge, was poor.
The team is in the relegation quagmire and for a senior player and captain to be talking about his future at this stage could mean he has given up the fight. This begs the question: are our players serious about saving the team, or are they just honouring the fixtures?
What do you think about Khuboni saying he wants to leave?
