Ajax Cape Town had a difficult start to their 2013/14 season, but as the games go on their young side are starting to find their feet.
The Urban Warriors’ head coach, Muhsin Ertugral, has often chosen youth over experience when selecting his team this season, with young players such as Keagan Dolly, Tariq Losper and Abubakker Mobara all playing a vital role.
Ajax have lost just two of their last nine games, winning five of them, as they pushed themselves up to eighth place in the league.
The oldest regular in Ertugral’s side is Eleazar Rodgers, 28, while the majority of the team are on the lower side of 25-years-old.
With the second half of the PSL season on the horizon, and Ajax still yet to make any big signings in the January transfer window, it looks as though Ertugral is happy to rely on his prodigies for the coming months.
It remains to be seen if his young side can keep up their momentum going into 2014 or whether they will run out of steam as the season goes on.
Will Ajax’s youth continue to prosper this season?
