University of Pretoria was promoted to the elite league two seasons ago and in their first campaign they managed to climb into the top eight bracket.
Led by former Wits University player, Steve Barker, Tuks are now in position 10 on the table and acquired the services of the former Black Leopards midfielder, Raymond Monama on a six-month loan from neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns in January.
Tuks also signed Thabo Mnyama from of North West University, but is that enough to push on for an improved finish this season or are they set to end lower than they did in their first campaign.
The students have won five matches so far, while drawing two and losing eight, which shows that they have struggled for consistency.
This raises questions whether they will see their dream of reaching the top eight once again, or will they have to hit the market at the end of the season?
