After joining Mamelodi Sundowns, the future looked bright for Richard Henyakane. With a number of South African caps and an impressive career at Golden Arrows, the sky seemed like the limit for the player.
As is so often the case, however, Henyakane spent the greater part of his time at Sundowns warming the bench, watching his career slowly sink into the mire.
Despite being on contract to Sundowns until 2016, the thirty-one year player has in the last few days, received a transfer to Free State Stars and is set to revive his ailing career. It is the breath of fresh air he has undoubtedly been waiting for.
As a Free State Star’s fan it seems like a sensible move to purchase a top striker with a few good years left in him who is desperate to breathe life into his career. He could very well be the catalyst to spur on Stars’ performance this season.
Do you think Richard Henyakane will be able to revive his career at Stars and help the team achieve their goals this season?
