Daniye Primary School from Mpumalanga represented the country well in Nigeria by beating Kenyan representatives 4-1 to claim a 3rd spot in the Milo African Championship in Nigeria.
The South African team had lost 4-1 to hosts Nigeria in the semi-final match on Friday afternoon, but we’re very proud of the boys. Lodrick Khoza, Daniye Primary School's U/13 Coach said he’s also happy with the performance of the boys.
“I am happy with the performance from the boys today. We spoke after our loss to Nigeria on Friday and promised each other that we were going to do better as a team. Our preparations ahead of this tournament were possibly not the best when one compares with Nigeria and Ghana, and this is something that we will work on for future tournaments,”
