So the word coming from the South African Football Association is that Gordon Igesund’s contract will not be renewed nor will it be extended. This effectively rules out Gordon’s future at national level.
Now going forward we need a coach... someone who will prepare us to compete in next year’s Afcon and the World Cup in 2018.
Personally I think Gordon Igesund should have remained as coach but clearly SAFA has up their minds. So now we move forward, and forward for us as things stand is Carlos Queiroz, Stephen Keshi and now Ruud Krol who’s probably the best option out of the lot.
