Our last two games have seen us fall behind to late goals, losing 1-0 twice, and relinquishing our top spot. It’s not good enough.
Against Mamelodi Sundowns it was Teko Modise’s fluke goal that led to them beating us, while last night, against Mpumalanga Black Aces, Miguel Timm was the man that put us to the sword.
Throughout both games we missed a lot of chances, but as Coach Baxter says below, our lack of focus has lost us both.
Speaking after the game he said, “We lost our discipline at the finish. If we didn’t score it should have been 0-0, very much like I felt after the Sundowns game. But because of a lack of discipline we lose our shape and they very quickly counter with a goal. That is part of the game and you have to bite the bullet.”
How important is it for our guys to make sure they stay focused from the first minute to the last?
