As Mamelodi Sundowns prepare to do battle against Mpumalanga Black Aces, a couple of AmaZayoni players will not be available for selection.
This is because of the loan agreement clause that states that if a player goes on loan from Sundowns to another team, he cannot play against Sundowns, especially as in most cases the player is still paid by Sundowns. That means that Themba Zwane, Abel Mabaso and Method Mwanjale will have to watch from the sidelines as the two sides do battle.
The clause is considered controversial by many, but Sundowns’ thinking is: why should I allow my own player to be the cause of my downfall? This game has come at the right time, as Downs badly needs the points to stay on top of the table and keep Kaizer Chiefs at bay.
Sundowns fanatics, what are your thoughts? Are you happy with the clause or should the players have been given an opportunity to play?
