Youngsters Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Happy Mashiane were impressive as Kaizer Chiefs moved to the top 8 of the log after their 2-1 win over Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

First-half goals from Ngcobo and Mashiane were enough to hand Gavin Hunt’s side their third win of the season, following their midweek 1-0 victory over AmaZulu in Durban.
Having not signed any players due to the FIFA transfer ban prohibiting club from doing so when he took over from Ernst Middendorp as the head coach at the Soweto giants, Hunt has been giving youngsters coming from the MutiChoice Diski Challenge team a chance to play regularly in the first team.
The move is now paying dividends as the team is slowly moving up the log and also doing well in the CAF Champions League.
Hunt will hope for similar performances from Ngcobo and Mashiane, as well as the rest of the team in their next match on Tuesday against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
