Reneilwe Letsholonyane has selected his best Kaizer Chiefs eleven – but it’s only from the period he spent at the club between 2008 and 2016.
‘Yeye’, as the midfielder maestro is affectionately known, took time to share his dream team that is made up of his peers with the Siya crew.
Now at Highlands Park and raring for the restart of the current campaign, which was suspended and halted by Covid-19 back four months ago, the veteran also included himself in this formidable Chiefs team.
Letsholonyane managed seven major trophies while at Naturena, including two Absa Premiership titles under then coach Stuart Baxter.
The 38-year-old was closing in on an impressive 200 matches for Chiefs before he moved to SuperSport United, where he would also continue to win trophies, adding the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup to his glowing career.
‘Yeye’ is also made 50 appearances for Bafana Bafana and was part of the memorable 2010 World Cup on home soil as well as 2013 and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments during his time as a national team regular.
Speaking to the Siya crew, the midfielder said he would limit his Chiefs dream team to the players that were there during his spell at Naturena.
