Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande maintains that this weekend’s clash against Mamelodi Sundowns will not be a friendly encounter.
The two sides will face off in the Shell Helix Cup on Saturday, October 12 and while it is an off-season friendly fixture, the rivalry between the two sides will not allow for anything but a competitive showing.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Katsande revealed that his side are eager to give their fans something to brag about.
“This cup is the perfect way for us to keep in match shape. We have been doing well recently and we don’t want to lose our momentum and it is good to have this fixture against Sundowns. We going to approach it in a competitive way and give the fans something to shout about,” the midfielder said.
“this is a big fixture between us and Sundowns and I know they will bring their strongest team. This will make the game very tough, challenging and competitive,” he added.
