Kaizer Chiefs fans have been wondering about the whereabouts of Dumisani Zuma and Reeve Frosler as they face Orlando Pirates needing to overturn a 3-0 deficit on Sunday.
The club did provide an update on Zuma just minutes before their DStv Premiership goalless draw against TS Galaxy on Wednesday night, but their supporters appear to have missed it as they continued to wonder whether he’d be available for the Soweto Derby.
Zuma is unlikely to make the squad for the second leg of the MTN8 clash against the Buccaneers at FNB Stadium.
In a tweet, the club said the forward had returned to training two weeks ago, but was ruled out of action yet again when he was assessed further.
His return date is unknown.
Frosler has been unavailable for Chiefs’ previous two games, the cup fixture last weekend and the match against TS Galaxy two days ago.
“Reeve has been ill. Hopefully I will see him in two days’ training and see what his situation is. We will have a look at him,” said coach Gavin Hunt during his press conference this week.
Chiefs could do with their best players being available on Sunday to try overturn the heavy scoreline from the first leg.
