Life after Stuart Baxter will begin away from home for Kaizer Chiefs, and the capacity crowd allowed to attend their fixture against Stellenbosch FC has been confirmed for Saturday evening at the Danie Craven Stadium.
The Glamour Boys confirmed on Thursday night that the coach was leaving the club following an early termination of his contract, a story Soccer Laduma broke earlier in the day after a series of talks over Baxter’s future.
Arthur Zwane and Dillion Sheppard will see out the remainder of the season and their first assignment is maximum points at Stellies.
Chiefs confirmed that with fans allowed, the Danie Craven Stadium is only permitted to half the capacity crowd and that means the venue can only accommodate 8000 spectators and that is now the number of tickets made available.
“In line with Covid-19 protocols which dictate that stadiums should operate 50% capacity, only 8000 tickets of the 16000-seater stadium will be made available. Supporters will be required to produce their proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test not older than 72 hours to access the venue on the day,” the club said on their official website.
Unlike the controversial price of R70 for their home games at FNB Stadium going forward, you will only spend R40 for an open stand ticket and R80 to sit in the grandstand.
