Khama Billiat remains the most expensive player and foreigner in South Africa’s top flight, but who else makes up the top of the list?
According to the figures on German website, transfermarkt.com, Billiat is currently valued at €1.50 million (±R28.92m), the highest out of every player in the Premier Soccer League.
However, the Zimbabwean international even saw a big drop in his millions from February this year, when he was previously valued at €1.90 million (±R36.66m) before the COVID-19 pandemic suspended football indefinitely.
The 29-year-old has seen his market value rise to the highest amounts whilst being on the books of Kaizer Chiefs, this despite winning several honours during his time with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Although, Billiat started out at a humble €50 thousand (±R964 thousand) when he first arrived in the country at Ajax Cape Town, but he has since gone on to establish himself as the most expensive player in South Africa.
