Kaizer Chiefs’ Teenage Hadebe has confirmed his disappointment in the 2018/19 Absa Premiership campaign with the Soweto giants.
The 23-year-old defender, who finished his second season with Chiefs after joining the club in 2017 from Zimbabwe’s Chicken Inn FC, has made a promise to keep improving on his performances, stating that he still has age on his side.
Speaking to Zimbabwean media in Durban, as the Warriors finalised their preparations for their match scheduled for today (Wednesday) against Zambia in the semi-finals of the COSAFA Cup, Hadebe spoke about the disappointment of seeing Chiefs lose to National First Division club TS Galaxy in the final of the Nedbank Cup.
“For me, I think for Chiefs things…to be honest, things didn’t go the way we wanted. Sometimes football is funny. The bad thing was that we were beaten by a small team which is eight months (in the NFD),” said Hadebe, speaking on ZIFA’s social media platforms.
“I don’t know where they came from, but that’s water under the bridge. We have to forget. I still have many years to play in football. The good thing is that I’m still young I’m learning from my mistakes,” he added.
