Swallows striker Joseph Mhlongo has been lauded for his goal against Kaizer Chiefs which saw the Soweto giants leave the Dobsonville Stadium empty handed on Tuesday evening and currently five places from the bottom of the log.
With the game at one stage appearing to be heading for a draw, Mhlongo came on in the 74th minute and was rewarded with a goal in the 86th minute to send the Swallows to the top of the DStv Premiership log in style.
Mhlongo’s representative Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi has commended the former Black Leopards man for his impressive showing.
“As I have been saying all along, the boy is a very good player and is working very hard to improve his game. I am proud of him and there are a lot of good things to come for him. He’s got a lot to offer. Swallows didn’t make a mistake by signing the boy. He is quality player and that is why he was in demand. I am glad that Swallows showed faith in him and it’s good that he is now paying back the club. They didn’t make a mistake by signing Joseph Mhlongo. I’m not surprised with what he did against Chiefs and we are expecting even better performances from him as Rush Hour Sports Management,” he said, in a statement issued by Rush Hour Sports Management’s spokesperson Mushadu Mulovhedzi.
