Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter was delighted with the impact made by some of the fringe players after the victory over Swallows FC.
The AmaKhosi climbed to second spot after claiming a 3-1 victory over their Soweto rivals at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday evening.
Kearyn Baccus and Anthony Agay came in for Cole Alexander and Phathutshedzo Nange, while Happy Mashiane, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Siyabonga Ngezana also got some minutes on Sunday.
"We've got a squad. And we need to share the load. I thought Kearyn Baccus was excellent. Anthony worked hard but I think he's had better days. He's a great character," Baxter told SuperSport after the game.
"And Ntiya was 'Little Dynamite Jim' when he came on wasn't he. And Happy got some minutes as well and as you said Bibo got some minutes as well. All round a good day. And we got Siya back on the football field for the first time in a long time.
"We look forward to all the games. And then after the game you can ask me if I enjoyed it."
