Just as Khama Billiat and Njabulo Blom before him, Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana was the latest player to omit his Amakhosi teammates when selecting his ideal dream team.
The Kaizer Chiefs TV feature – where players get to select their ideal dream teams - has become a popular one amongst fans.
The likes of Billiat, Blom and Ramahlwe Mphahlele have all tried their hand at selecting a starting XI from a panel of local and international stars.
The latest player to have a go at the daunting task was tough-as-nails defender Ngezana, who has come into his own under Gavin Hunt this season.
The 24-year-old followed the trend of his teammates in omitting Chiefs and all other local players in his dream team, opting for a team comprising of international selections only.
Interesting to note was the defender’s decision not to include either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi in his team. Instead evergreen Swedish powerhouse Zlatan Ibrahimovic was selected as the man to lead the line for Ngezana’s team.
There was space for the likes of Manchester United’s Ivorian defender Eric Baily, who Ngezana likens himself to, thanks to their similar robust approach in the art of defending.
