The Siya crew has been led to believe that Kaizer Chiefs were in a race with three other clubs for AmaZulu star Siyethemba Sithebe.
Sithebe dominated headlines during the January transfer window and according insiders, the player is believed to have rejected approaches from Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Siya sources have revealed that two offers were made by the defending Dstv Premiership champions, with the Buccaneers understood to have made an enquiry about the availability of the 29-year-old.
According to the player's representative Musawakhe Sithebe, there were options available, despite discussions with Chiefs reaching a deadlock at the eleventh hour.
"There were negotiations with AmaZulu as his club, they were given first option and we did not feel their offer was good for the player and rejected it," Sithebe told the Siya crew.
"It was not only Chiefs that wanted him. There were Mamelodi Sundowns, who gave two offers, Orlando Pirates also asked about his availability, and Chippa United called him too, but he chose Chiefs," the agent added.
