Polokwane City have hinted on what their plan will be in the aim to upset Kaizer Chiefs again in this coming weekend’s match.
Amakhosi failed to get maximum points against Rise and Shine last season after losing 1-0 in the first round match at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium in October, while the second round match in February ended 1-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
This coming Saturday, City will pay Chiefs a visit at FNB Stadium for their Absa Premiership match, and the Limpopo team’s captain Jabulani Maluleke has spoken about their plans for the clash.
“We will be playing against a team that is on form at the moment and it won’t be an easy game, especially as they will be at home. But we haven’t started badly either. So far we are on track and doing well. I think if we can play our normal game we will have a chance to win,” Maluleke told the Siya crew.
City finished last season in fifth place on the log under the club’s former coach Jozef Vukusic. According to Maluleke, the Limpopo outfit hasn’t made many changes to their style under current head coach Zlatko Krmpotic, which gives them a chance to continue where they left off against Chiefs and other teams in the League.
“The team hasn’t changed much from the team we had last season. It was one or two players that have left. The coach came in and he has faith in us. He has the faith to allow us to play our normal game,” the captain added.
