Following the win over Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp was full of praise for three of his players, including one who he has been critical of in the past.
The Soweto giants advanced to the final of the Nedbank Cup after defeating the Chilli Boys 4-2 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The Amakhosi tactician was full of praise for Khama Billiat and Willard Katsande, who he has criticised in the last couple of weeks for not pulling their weight.
"Congratulations to Khama, definitely man-of-the-match," Middendorp told SuperSport after the game.
"I have criticised these players before. But Willard Katsande was also excellent, a great leader. Definitely could have been a candidate, but there can only be one.
When asked about Dax's contribution, Middendorp admitted he possibly took a bit long to introduce the Madagascan midfielder to the first team.
"I probably waited a little bit long to bring 'Dax' in. I should have probably tried to bring him in earlier. A player with real high quality. I believe there's much more to come. Not only the shooting from distance but his one-on-one play and able to penetrate the space and his passing, too," added Middendorp.
