Kazier Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has made clear his intentions this weekend when Amakhosi face TS Galaxy in the final of the Nedbank Cup.
With the Glamour Boys making it this far in a tournament since 2015, the German wants a win to help the club “reset”, he said.

Speaking to the media this week, Middendorp explained: “We are a united force and we are about getting over the dark cloud here in Naturena of not winning anything in the past four years – that is the target. We want to reset and the players are aware and know what is at stake.”
The coach said would not discuss tactics, choosing to rather play his cards close to his chest. But he did emphasise needing Chiefs supporters, who have been disgruntled because of all the years of a trophy drought, to back their team at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.

“I think the second highest competitive title inside South Africa is the Nedbank Cup. The final is in front of us and we have prepared immediately and that is what we are targeting. It’s not my style to talk about opponents. If you are a Chiefs supporter, now is the time where we need each and everybody,” he said.
