Khama Billiat will miss his fifth game of the season for Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow night after Ernst Middendorp confirmed that he’s once again unavailable…
The 29-year-old has struggled to emulate the form of his debut campaign with the Glamour Boys in this season having almost missed as many games in the first half of 2019/20 as he did in the entirety of 2018/19.
Billiat missed just four Absa Premiership games for Chiefs last time out following his move from Mamelodi Sundowns at the start of the season, and at this point already had four league goals and five assists to his name compared to his return of one goal and two assists this season.
He’s still a star player for the club though, and their German coach has now confirmed that he will not be available v Bloemfontein Celtic tomorrow, making it four league games and one Telkom Knockout match that he'll have missed.
Speaking to the media this week, Middendorp said, "The fact is that Khama Billiat is not available. We put him on a rehab, treatment recovery. We heard about it after we had to take him off after the beginning of the second half against Stellenbosch.
"He hasn't been on the field for five days and won't be on the field for a week. He will probably be ready on the 22nd of December against Maritzburg United.”
Chiefs face Celtic at 20h15 tomorrow night.
