New Kaizer Chiefs signing Keagan Dolly believes he can use the experience he gained in France to help players such as Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Happy Mashiane.
Dolly was announced as one of Amakhosi’s new signings on Tuesday, completing a three-year deal with the Soweto giants after spending four years with French Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier.
He brings valuable experience to Chiefs, having played in Europe and won the CAF Champions League with Sundowns.
“Obviously, I am happy. I am finally settled in. I am just excited to be here and start my career with Chiefs. I look forward to meeting all my teammates and coaching staff and just get down to business,” Dolly told the Amakhosi media department.
“Since I was young, my father introduced me to Kaizer Chiefs. We supported Kaizer Chiefs, I think since the age of five. I used to watch the likes of Shoes Moshoeu, may his soul rest in peace. I grew up watching Stanton Fredericks, Jabu Pule (now Mahlangu). I used to dye my hair like Jabu Pule when I played for Westbury Arsenal, so it’s not new to me. I know what the club is about and I know the mentatlity at the club. I am ready to get down to business.
“With me coming back to Chiefs, it's to share my experiences with the youngsters coming up. I watched Mashiane, I watched Ngcobo playing and they are looking very good. Where I can help, I will try my best to give them advice. I learnt a lot in France and hopefully I can come back and share my experiences.”
