The Glamour Boys are due back at work on June 26 (Wednesday) as they begin their preparations for the 2019/20 campaign, with he club eager to end their longest trophy drought in the season that they will celebrate their 50th birthday.
It could be over a month, however, until the German coach has his full Amakhosi contingent available, with at least 10 players preoccupied elsewhere for various reasons, or on the verge of leaving the club.
Chiefs have players in the South African, Zimbabwean, Nigerian and Madagascan squads at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt, with Bruce Bvuma, Daniel Cardoso and Ramahlwe Mphahlele all hoping to represent Bafana Bafana at some point in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Daniel Akpeyi is with Nigeria as they get their AFCON underway with games against Burundi and Guinea, and Teenage Hadebe and Khama Billiat are likely to play a big role for Zimbabwe as they go up against the hosts in the opening game this evening.
Arohasina ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana is the other Glamour Boy over in North Africa at present as Madagascar prepare for their first ever AFCON tournament, and is set to be a key man for the islanders in Egypt.

Elsewhere, new signing, Lazarous Kambole, is fulfilling the end of his contract with ZESCO United in Zambia as they chase a couple of trophies, Mario Booysen is in talks to terminate his deal at Naturena, and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is nursing a serious injury that is likely to see him miss the start of the new campaign.
There are also question marks on the likes of Itumeleng Khune and Happy Mashiane following their respective injuries last season, though they could well be back in action depending on how their off-season recovery has gone.
