Two New Players To Join Chiefs?

Kaizer Chiefs look set to welcome two new players who will play for their Diski Challenge side.

Amakhosi have been busy in the market bolstering their first team after serving a transfer ban, and it appears that the club is also looking at the development side of things, with two young players they see as potentials for the future.

The Siya crew has been led to believe that Amakhosi are close to acquiring the services of Sandile Mokoena and Sbusiso Ngwenya, who will both play for the Diski Challenge side in the new season.

The 19-year-old Mokoena, who is from Harrismith, plays as a defensive midfielder. He has previously played at amateur level for Philani United and the Siya crew has been informed that he was spotted by former Amakhosi player Abel Shongwe.

Ngwenya, 21, is a goalkeeper and has previously been on the books of Amakhosi’s Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates.

The two players were being assessed by coach Johnny Ferreira at Venda Football Academy, but they now look set to become Amakhosi players.

According to information received by the Siya crew, the duo was in training with Chiefs on Friday and deals for both of them will be finalised soon.
