ZESCO Comment After Chiefs Tie Up Deal…

Kaizer Chiefs completed a big-name signing on Tuesday, and now the attacker's former club have had their say on his move to Naturena for the 2019/20 season.
Lazarous Kambole, who has been attracting interest from all over the continent, was confirmed as Chiefs' latest acquisition yesterday after he agreed to a three-year deal with the Glamour Boys, leaving behind ZESCO United after around half a decade.
The 25-year-old has played a big role in ZESCO’s success in recent years, and has really made a name for himself while playing in continental competition either in the CAF Champions League or Confederation Cup for the Zambian giants.
Now, with a long-term deal confirmed and a club-to-club agreement finalised, ZESCO have wished the Zambian international well, with a statement on the club’s official Facebook read, “ZESCO United FC have agreed on a deal to transfer Lazarous Kambole to Kaizer Chiefs. Kambole, 25, will join Amakhosi effectively on 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2022.
“The talented midfielder-cum-striker was part of the victorious Chipolopolo at the COSAFA tournament in South Africa. Kambole has been at Zesco for the last season and holds a record of the fastest hat-trick in the CAF Champions League of 2018/19.
“ZESCO United Football Club would like thank Kambole for the services he has rendered to the club and wish him luck.”
Kambole is expected to join Chiefs for pre-season at the end of the month when they return ahead of the new campaign.
